In 2016, Stephen and I met at Neshoba Central High School. It was my Sophomore year and his Freshman year. We had Spanish class together. Let's just say... it wasn’t love at first sight. I thought Stephen was way too hardheaded (I was right), and he thought I was a total goodie two-shoes who always had to be perfect. (To be fair, I did beat the whole class—including him—in a Spanish game, which definitely hurt his competitive ego).

But God and fate had other plans.

The next year, we found ourselves in the same math class, and something shifted. The eye rolls turned into inside jokes. The competition turned into a connection. Math equations seemed fun together, and somewhere between late-night homework texts and hallway laughs, we fell in love with each other—just two teenagers who had no idea they'd found the real thing that some people search their entire life for.

We officially started dating in the summer of 2017, just before my senior year. After graduating, I went off to Ole Miss, and Stephen followed a year later. Since then, we've grown up together through every season of life, every chapter, learning, loving, and building a future side by side, including raising our two Siamese cats (Bandit and Bear). It wasn’t always easy, but it was always worth it.

On July 27th, 2025, I had a photo session scheduled at the Neshoba County Fair—our favorite place, and where our relationship first began. What I didn’t know was that Stephen had secretly hired a second photographer—the one I had always dreamed of having for our wedding. (Shocking that he can’t remember what day it is, but can remember that detail). On our walk back to our cabin, there the photographer was, camera ready... and so was Stephen, the most beautiful, perfect ring in hand. To make it even sweeter, both of our families were watching from the second story of the cabin, cheering (and definitely tearing up).

It was perfect.

Now, 8 years later, we’re saying “I do”. From high school sweethearts to now—forever—we're so excited to start this next chapter together, and we can't wait to celebrate with all of you!
