Our Wedding

Caden and Katy’s story began in 2004 at Boyd Elementary School in Allen, TX. As kindergartners, they were playground rivals, constantly pestering each other. But once recess was over, their secret crushes emerged—though neither would admit it.  For years, they playfully tormented each other through elementary school until life took them in separate directions. It wasn’t until 2017, through mutual friends, that their paths crossed again. This time, the timing was right. They began officially dating, and their love story truly began.  Katy chose to attend college locally while Caden finished high school. After graduating, Caden headed to the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO, where he majored in engineering while playing college baseball. Around the same time, Katy started the esthiology program at Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute in Dallas. Over the next six years, they navigated the challenges of a long-distance relationship, bouncing back and forth between Dallas and Denver.  In 2023, after Caden graduated, he returned to Dallas, and the couple finally closed the distance. Today, they call Dallas home, excited for the next chapter of their lifelong adventure together.

Officiating the wedding and a key figure in their lives, Blake and Caden moved to Dallas with Katy after finishing up college and playing baseball together. He was there for Katy and Caden during a major life transition and became an even more incredible friend to both of them. Katy even took care of him, running tools over to his apartment and fixing things he didn’t know how to, like screwing in light bulbs. Blake’s support has meant the world to both of them. 7-year All-Star

Best man and brother. Cameron has been by Caden’s side through every big life milestone, so of course, he’s here for the biggest one yet—that is, until he OFFICIALLY becomes “Uncle Cam” to Finn. 22-year All-Star.

Cameron Bonds

Cadens childhood best friend and first-ever throwing partner (if you know, you know). Logan is the guy who, no matter how much time has passed, picks up right where they left off. He’s family and like a brother to Caden. 20-year All-Star.

Logan Harradine

One of Caden’s high school baseball buddies. They formed an inseparable group back then and have kept the same tight-knit bond ever since. They talk every day, adventure together, and always have the best time. Loyal, thinks like a trout, and full of love. 11-year All-Star.

Rylan Evans

The outgoing, funny guy who can light up any room. Danny is the easiest person to hang out with and always down for a good time. A college roommate who, for some reason, insists on pushing his putts. 7-year All-Star.

Danny McDermott

Fishing buddy, Hawaiian brother, and all-around great guy—despite the fact that Caden gives him a hard time (and maybe enjoy it a little too much). Keene was Cadens’ college roommate and someone he can’t imagine life without. Hana Pa’a. Shoots den. 7-year All-Star.

Keene Tanaka

Another one of Caden’s high school baseball brothers. Tyler is a one-of-a-kind friend , hot-dog-hookin’, catfish-grabbin’, lawn-chair-sittin’ beast. He’s a guy Caden can always count on when he needs him. 11-year All-Star.

Tyler Esparza

People always asked him when he was gonna be the baseball player he was meant to be, but never when he would be the friend he was meant to be. That is because he’s always been that. Nash was Cadens college roommate and one of the most genuine friends known to man. 7-year All-Star.

As Katy’s longest friend of 26 years, she could not imagine her special day without her brother standing by her side as he has throughout her whole life.

After meeting at high school soccer tryouts,  Molly and Katy would grow up together and spend the next decade sharing each others highs and lows. Molly is the most thoughtful, genuine, and fun person and Katy could not get married without her beside her.

Way back when Sperry’s and Miss Me jeans were a thing, Katy & Rachel’s friendship was born. They bond over their love for Mambo Taxi’s and their wiener dogs being boyfriend & girlfriend. Rachel is a fun-loving, kind, and remarkable woman that Katy knew she had to have in her wedding.

Rachel Martindale 

Michaela & Katy shared many adventures in their teenage years and would go on to reconnect as adults. They share the same sense of humor and never shut up when around the other! Michaela is positive, supportive, and arguably the funniest person in the wedding party. Katy and Cadens’ wedding day wouldn’t be complete without her!
