Our Wedding

We sparked in July of 2022, but the connections between our lives started way before that; before we were even born, in fact. Our parents were working in the same town at the same fire department together. They were likely even friends at the time. Around middle school, the two met through a shared friend (and Cadence's older sister) who had been friends with Matt since second or third grade. Matt in seventh grade, and Cadence in fifth grade, they knew of each other, but not much more had happened. Fast forward once more, Matt's cousin was having a party that Cadence's family was also invited to through being friends with the parents. They met again, as Matt was being chased relentlessly by Cadence's younger siblings. Now that they could remember events better, they kept pretty infrequent contact with one another. For Matt, that party was the beginning of forever. Matt was in high school, at work at a grocery store, when along came Cadence's mother and grandmother who were preparing for the Donais' annual party of the summer. Grandma, recognizing Matt, invited him to the party, and when he came, he saw Cadence again. And at the next year's party, he saw her again. JULY 16, 2022: Donais' annual party paired with Cadence's Graduation partyMatt was invited that year by the girl herself, who had become better friends with him since the first summer party that he attended. The brief hug when he got there was likely heaven for him, but what he never expected to happen was about to unfold throughout that day. Cadence wasn't sure at that point when or why it had started, but she knew there was something about Matt that drew her to him. The two remained almost by each other's sides all day, and by the evening, she was telling him about how her crush happened to be at the party that day.He entertained this idea and conversation, until she pulled him aside to the deserted bounce house in the yard. There, she confessed to him that it was indeed who he thought it was. Himself. We held hands, as we stared at those fireflies out in the woods, and we sat by the fire while we watched the party start to wind down for the night, neither one of us wanting the moment to end. The next day, we exchanged contacts and we haven't stopped talking since then. We have been through so much together, and neither of us could imagine life without the other. Neither of us would want to spend life without our other half by our side, and for three years now, we haven't had to.

LODGING

If YOU and/or your FAMILY need to stay with a member of our family while you are here from out of state (or farther away than you'd like to drive after a night of fun), you MUST inform the couple of how many people AND how long you would be staying AS SOON AS YOU KNOW before you plan to arrive in order for us to prepare accommodations.

PARKING

Arrive onsite, and there will be valets to park the cars.

Travel

If you are interested or are from far away and want to spend more time with family and friends, stay later, and we can put a movie up on the side of the tent, have a campfire, and enjoy the night under starlight! Bring comfortable clothes and shoes to wear, relax, and have fun.
