Adam and I grew up in the same church our entire lives, never even realizing the other person existed until about five years ago, and certainly never realizing what God was quietly preparing all along. For years, we both prayed for a relationship deeply rooted in faith—for someone equally yoked, who would chase after the Lord’s heart above all else, and who we could walk beside for a lifetime. Then, a little less than a year ago, in a moment where we both felt weary and discouraged in the waiting, God opened our eyes to see that the person we had been praying for was right in front of us the whole time. Through every obstacle, we’ve only grown stronger, continually encouraging one another to deepen our faith and live a life that honors Him. Now, we are beyond excited to step into this next chapter, making a covenant of marriage and becoming one, with God at the center—exactly as He intended.
