Cait & Steven were friends and coworkers for years before their love connection began. They connected over their obsession with cats, horror movies, and their general comedic sensibilities. After their first date, Cait texted her closest friend to say that Steven was undoubtedly her soulmate. Steven sent flowers and a love note to Cait's workplace, and they have been deeply in love ever since.

They moved in together after enduring a long distance relationship in which Steven drove up to Sacramento every week (for years) to spend time with Cait in her tiny apartment. They have been together since February 2015.

Fittingly, Cait proposed to Steven on their 6th year anniversary at the bottom of a strenuous hike.

They have two cats together, Rorschach and Fury. They enjoy hiking & lifting weights together, playing video games, watching movies, cooking & eating vegan food, and having weekly dance parties in their dining room.
