Our Story

It all started with a full beer, a spark across the bar, and something neither of us could quite explain.

We met at The Peanut on 64th Street—Cait behind the bar, Kelsie in her usual seat. Kelsie always says Cait never let her beer run dry, but maybe it was the way she never let the conversation fade that really started it all. What began as familiar smiles and easy banter turned into something much more.

Our first official date was at the (slightly infamous) Nick and Nino’s, where we stayed until sunrise—talking, laughing, losing track of time and the world around us. A few hours turned into forever in the making. Within weeks, we were inseparable.

Early on, Kelsie made one thing clear: “If our dogs don’t get along, this isn’t going to work.” So Benson and Vega had their own first meeting—and just like us, they became instant best friends. We lost sweet Mr. Bens a few years ago, but his spirit is never far. Today, our little family includes Vega, Eleanor, and Herman—three dogs, and hearts full of love.

We both come from farm roots and carry a deep pride in where we come from. Our Irish heritage is a thread that connects us, but it’s our shared love for adventure and making memories that truly weaves our story together. Whether we’re exploring somewhere new or just dancing in the kitchen, we find joy in the little moments—together.

However our story unfolds, we know it will be written with laughter, loyalty, and love—surrounded by a few muddy paws, hopefully kiddos and a whole lot of magic.
