Charlottesville is located in beautiful central Virginia, and is surprisingly easy to get to. If you are coming from the northeast, Amtrak is a wonderful option, Mike and I always take the train down. There are typically 4 trains a day, they are relatively inexpensive, and you avoid sitting in traffic! If you want to drive, Charlottesville is a relatively easy 2.5 hrs from Washington, DC. We don't recommend driving on a Friday afternoon, you've been warned! If you are flying in, Charlottesville has its very own airport with direct flights from Dulles via United, Atlanta and LaGuardia via Delta, and LaGuardia, Charlotte and more via American. The airport is then a quick 20 min ride into town.

Downtown C'Ville is very walkable, don't feel pressured to have a car. Transportation will be provided to and from the Ceremony/Reception from our 3 main hotels on Saturday, and for the rest of the weekends: Ubers are easy to come by in this happenin' college town.

Fall in Virginia is THE BEST, we will most likely have a day in the mid 60's that dips down into the low 50's when the sun goes down. We want everyone to feel comfortable and ready to DANCE. Put on your Sunday Best, but don't feel stuffy. Formal but ready to party is our vibe.

We love everyone's kids! But all Wedding Weekend events will be adults only (16+). Don't fear, we have local babysitting recommendations for you while you are in town! Please reach out to Caitie (caitlingold@mac.com) if you need help coordinating these services.

For folks with babies (aged 2 and under), we will have a room on-site that will be staffed by qualified, trusted sitters. You will need to provide any food needs, and you'll be able to easily pop in and out to check in on them. One thing to note: if you do need to take advantage of this service on-site, you will need to provide your own transportation as our provided buses cannot accommodate children.
