There are numerous hiking trails surrounding Frisco, Breckenridge, and Silverthorne.
Here are some suggestions:
Easy:
Blue Lakes Waterfall (1 mile) - drive to the iconic Blue Lakes south of Breckenridge (AWD or 4x4 recommended) and hike 1 mile to a gorgeous waterfall. When you're done continue up to road to see if you can spot some mountain goats.
Isak Heartstone Troll: (a short stoll) - the Trollstigen Trail leaves from the Breckenridge Welcome Center and takes you to a massive wooden sculpture created by Danish artist Thomas Dambo.
Moderate:
Mayflower Gulch: (4 miles RT) - hike up a rocky trail through pine forests until you get to an old mining town. The valley these cabins sit in is simple stunning! Don't be afraid to go inside and look through the windows, it makes from some nice pictures.
