In June of 2021, Caitlin was working at MK at North East Mall, little did she know that Zack was working on opening up World Axe Games in the very same place. They both signed their companies up for a career fair held at the mall. The first day, Caitlin walked past Zack and his dad, Dan, and they introduced themselves. Caitlin walked away thinking "hmm...cute." As fate would have it, the next day at the career fair, their tables were next to each other. Throughout the day, they made conversation, Zack complimented Caitlin's outfit, and they exchanged business cards.

Both Caitlin and Zack will tell you the other one made the first move. After exchanging business cards, Caitlin followed World Axe Games on Instagram hoping that Zack would make the first move, that evening, Zack requested to follow Caitlin. They both knew they were interested, and thankfully with a push and shove from a good friend (Thanks Izzy!), Zack came by Caitlin's store, and asked Caitlin if it would be ok if he reached out sometime. They began to talk, and the next day they had their first date. They met up after work and went to dinner, they spent about 30 minutes eating and another 2.5 hours talking. The time flew by, and it just felt right.

Zack and Caitlin's Second date was the very next day, and from that point on, they were exclusive. They would pop by to see each other on breaks at work, talk every night before bed, and saw each other almost every day. As the months went on, they got to know each other better, and met each other's friends and families. They bonded over their love of sports and yelling at their favorite teams, and Zack taught Caitlin how to throw Axes (though she would get extremely frustrated if she felt like he was letting her win). The "I like you's" turned into "I love you's" and it just always felt like it was meant to be. As Caitlin and Zack began to speak more about their future, they made the decision to move in together for the first time. They thought it would be a difficult adjustment, but it only made them grow closer, and they knew they wanted to spend their lives together.

As Zack began to plan to propose to Caitlin, he wanted it to be a surprise, but knew it would be important to celebrate with their families. He spoke to Caitlin's Parents, and reached out to his and Caitlin's families to be there to celebrate after the Proposal. He asked Caitlin out to a Steak Dinner and drinks at Hotel Vin as a "Late Valentine's Date" since Caitlin had to work on the day of. They spent the day together, going to the nail salon, relaxing, and getting ready together. Caitlin started to notice while they got ready at the apartment that Zack seemed nervous, but couldn't spy a ring box in his pocket to confirm the suspicions. They arrived at Hotel Vin early, and grabbed drinks at the bar to enjoy outside before heading to dinner. As they sat there, Zack was the quietest Caitlin had ever seen him. Eventually, he looked up and apologized for being awkward (Zack has never had an awkward bone in his body). He then started to express how much he loved Caitlin and that he couldn't wait to spend their lives together. Caitlin agreed, and Zack kneeled down and exclaimed, "Well, how about now?", pulled out the ring and asked her to marry him. Shocked and excited, Caitlin said yes! Caitlin immediately wanted to call her family, but Zack let her know that they were all coming to meet up with them shortly. Zack and Caitlin enjoyed dinner as a newly engaged couple, and then arrived back at Hotel Vin to a live band and tables full of family waiting to celebrate! It was the best night, and now they can't wait to spend their Wedding celebrating with everyone else who means so much to them!
