It all started when Caitlin beat Matthew in their 5th grade class spelling bee... Matthew claims he "let her beat him" because he "didn't want to make it to the final round and have to travel to the other school" but we all know he's lying to save face.

Then came High School... Matthew and Caitlin kept in touch here and there, she may have even rejected him once, but we don't talk about that anymore. We also don't talk anymore about the fact that Caitlin wrote about Matthew in her diary. What's more important is that he asked her to the junior prom, and she said yes! They went as friends, as you can tell by this awkward photo of them.

Though their love story truly started after college, they still had contact throughout college. Although most of that contact was Caitlin bragging to Matthew that she was in Philly during the time the Eagles won the Super Bowl, since she knew he was such a big fan! See above the very snapchat Caitlin sent Matthew in 2018 that's still saved to their snapchat chat (yes that's a man on top of a traffic light). A piece of history!

Shoutout to both of our lovely moms for running into each other in Shoprite one day, without that happening who knows if Matthew would've ever slid into Caitlin's DM's! They started hanging out more and more each week until finally on January 18th Matthew asked Caitlin to be his girlfriend - only took about 12 years to get to this point!

Since then they have been inseparable. They've traveled the world together, survived Covid lockdown, and more. They've shared so many milestones together - changing careers (Matthew's a pilot if he hasn't already told you 5 times), graduating grad school (yes, Matthew came all the way out to middle of nowhere Southern Illinois to watch Caitlin get her master's degree), and moving in together just to name a few big ones!

Now they get to spend the rest of their lives together! On June 9th 2023 Caitlin got the biggest and most special surprise of her life (literally she had NO clue it was coming that day). They are so excited to be sharing their special day with you all and can't wait to see what the future holds!
