Michael and Caitlin met during their senior year at the University of Delaware. Living next door to each other, they got to know one another and instantly became friends. Their connection was effortless, built from their shared interests, late-night conversations, and a mutual sense of adventure.

After graduation, life took them in different directions quite literally. Michael headed to Nebraska, and Pennsylvania, while Caitlin ventured to New York, and later California. Though miles apart, they each embraced new experiences and challenges that helped shape who they are today.

Eventually, fate (and the pandemic) brought them both to Maryland. What began as a rekindled friendship soon blossomed into something more. Their bond deepened as they built a life together filled with travel, laughter, and love.

On March 29, 2025, during a quiet and beautiful moment at Constitution Gardens in Washington, D.C., Michael asked Caitlin to marry him, and she said yes through happy tears and smiles.
