We met back in 2014 when I was 18 (in high school) and Jake was a 23 year old new grad navigating his life in New York City. We were both visiting our grandparents in Bonita Springs, Florida when our paths crossed while soaking up some rays on the beach. I was trying to read and Jake was loudly and obnoxiously complaining (I know shocking) about losing his headphones. I had offered that he could borrow mine, mostly to shut him up, but also noticing he see was an attractive man. We played volleyball at the beach, had a week-long romance and the rest is history. Fast-forward to being together in 4 states (Minnesota, New Jersey, California, and now South Carolina). He FINALLY popped the question back where we met 9 years ago! We are excited to start our future in Charleston with our most spoiled dog, Barney!!
