The father of the bride has been making pottery for over ten years, most recently in the McHenry County College ceramics studio. The centerpiece pots are a mix of 3D printed and wheel-thrown pottery.
Zachary is the beloved groom of tonight’s festivities and noted pigeon enjoyer. This piece sets out to rectify the reputation of one of earth’s most misunderstood birds through majestic, commanding imagery.
Caitlin has loved doing various arts and crafts since she was a child, but these days she favors sewing, fiber arts and most of all papercraft.
Elyn is Caitlin’s first cousin. Elyn works in graphic design and enjoyed the opportunity to flex her animal art skills again. This piece is a digital painting, created using clip studio paint.
Matt "Pops" Pappadopoli is a freelance illustrator and cartoonist that has been active for over 15 years. As a High School friend of Zach, Matt has had the privilege to watch Zach and Caitlin's relationship grow and strengthen since the very beginning. You can find more of his artwork at mattpopsart.com or contact him at mpappadop@gmail.com to inquire about his services.
Alex "Finis" Finis is an illustrator and live performance producer sending great love from Berlin, Germany. He and Zach have been pals since their days in a rag-tag gang of gibberish-hooting scamps, bewildering more serious people across Chicagoland. He frequently misses Zach and Caitlin, and is honored by the opportunity to contribute to their wedding. You can reach him to make something for you at afinis.art.
This Merlin was painted with watercolor and created by Katie Brower. Caitlin and I were roommates in college at U of I and have had many adventures ever since. This Merlin reminds me of going to the Renaissance Fair and Medieval Times with Caitlin and Zach.
The beautiful Northern Flicker is an oil painting by Deborah Di Vita Glascott (that’s me!). My husband and I have been long time friends of Caitlin’s family. You can find more of my work on Instagram, @divitaglascott.
I have never been to Turkey Run State Park, but my rendered artwork is what I imagine it to be. Let's hope the turkeys are amiable enough to share the grounds with worthy humans such as Caitlin and Zach, and possibly Michael and Suzi Gullotto too, whom I have known almost forever. I have done many different types of artwork, but somehow cartooning usually wins out, because it's just plain FUN. Here's more, if anyone is interested: www.michaelglascott.com
I practice a wide range of art in different mediums, but have been drawn to printmaking in recent years as my current focus. This piece was a linocut freehand print; I made the image by cutting straight on to the lino block by hand without a transfer design. You can find more work by me on my Instagram @sammy_b_original.
My name is Amy Fink, I met Caitlin and Zach during veterinary school at the University of Illinois in 2012 (Go Illini!). During the summer after our 1st year of school a group of us went on a camping trip to Mammoth Cave where seven of us crammed into a tent and all became (figuratively and literally) very close! My assigned bird is the only non-bird of the bunch - a little brown bat - and the piece is a layered paper design with a cave in the background.
Jeff and Caitlin’s dad Michael went to grade school, high school and college together!
A long-time friend of Caitlin and Zach, Amy is a local cryptid and creator. When not hosting dance parties in the garage, they can be found reveling in fantasy or walking to the nearest 7/11.
Amy is Caitlin’s first cousin. She took this, and many other wonderful photos, on the guided bird tour of Kiawah Island while vacationing there.
Steve Walker has been a friend of Caitlin’s father Michael since 1967. He is a longtime avid birder who once saw a red-cockaded woodpecker in South Georgia and a cerulean warbler in North Georgia.
My husband, Steve Walker, is a high school buddy of Mike Gullotto. I was excited to paint the Andean Emerald Hummingbird as it is the most sacred animal in the shamanic tradition I practice. The flower of life in the background represents creation, sacred masculine and feminine, and the cycles of life. Art school seems like 100 years ago, most of my creativity these days is expressed in the kitchen cooking.

The Common Loon is found on very northern lakes of Wisconsin, such as Lac Courte Oreilles, summer home of Scott & Eileen Maxon and gathering place for friends and family. Tracy is Caitlin's cousin on the Maxon side.
The northern mockingbird is a multimedia production using drawing, ceramics and photography. I have been learning these disciplines in school and this project is a great opportunity to employ them.

I’m Kristin Kuntz, and I am a friend of Zach and Caitlin from veterinary school, a veterinary behaviorist, and an avid cross stitcher. While attending U of I, Zach and I both enjoyed working with the raptors of the Wildlife Medical Clinic. The resident Great Horned Owl, Nokomis, occupied a special place in all of our hearts, and I am honored to have cross stitched his likeness for their wedding!
Jake is Zach's cousin on his mom's side. This piece was created using a wood burning technique.

"I met Caitlin in a swamp. Shortly after, I met Zach in that very same swamp. I then stole her roommate (my wife). Our shared love for swamps and ogres has kept us close through this rollercoaster of life."
- Karl Marcus Brower

Daiquiri, much like the cowbird, was hatched in a nest of robins, swiftly outgrowing and ousting his egg-brothers. He has maintained this 'killer instinct' into his adult life, using it to launch a big huge company with lots of dollars. He attributes his success to having no regard for whoms't he must step on to reach da top.
Thank you so much to all of our guest artists for contributing their beautiful work to make our wedding all the more unique and special!
