Explore Caitlin & Oliver's new home! Explore the Painted Cowgirl western clothing store. Stop by When Pigs Fly secondhand treasures. Or, if you're witchy like Caitlin, drop by the Mystical Black Cat Metaphysical Store & Apothecary. Then, drop by Bluto's, Main Street Cafe, or the Freight House for some food! Looking for some night life? The Office has Karaoke every Friday & Saturday, and it's always a really good time.
It'll be too early for apple picking, but it's right on time to go peach picking! Adventure out into the orchard and gather your own, or just stop by and buy some to snack on. They also have their own hard cider on tap (Oliver loves it) and a bakery.
The Rockin' Roller Coast - Ride On. If you're a fan of thrills, you'll find some of the tallest, fastest, wildest roller coasters in the world right here on the coast of Sandusky Ohio. Caitlin's quite the thrill seeker and has ridden every big ride in the park!
Did you know Ohio has its own islands? Each island has some different things to offer!
Kelley's Island
Get here either via the Jet Express from downtown Sandusky or via the Kelleys Island Ferry from Marblehead. Kelley's is home to several bars and restaurants, a winery, a beautiful sandy state park beach to sunbathe on, and the biggest example of glacial grooves, if you're into geology.
Put-in-Bay / South Bass Island
Get here either via the Jet Express from downtown Sandusky or via the Miller Ferry from Catawba. Definitely the most lively of the three island, and for the partier! Choose from a multitude of bars and wineries. Other attractions of note - Perry's Peace Memorial, or Caitlin's favorite, the world's largest geode!
Middle Bass Island
Get here via the Miller Ferry from Catawba, or if you're on Put-in-Bay, via the Sonny S Ferry. The sleepiest of the three islands, this is a place to go on nature walks. Caitlin is a professional guide and knows every inch of it if you need any help navigating. Home to the cliff jumping cliffs and mermaid beach!
They have light bites & plenty of wine to go around. They're famous for their Buckeye Red (a syrupy sweet red) but Caitlin's a big fan of their Pinot Grigio.
Light up your weekend by visiting the very home of lightbulb-inventor Thomas Edison!
Voted best coastal town in America twice, Sandusky's a great place to wander around. For food and drinks - hit Small City Taphouse, Saucy Brew Works, or Barra. Or for just drinks, hit Paddle Bar (Caitlin loves their Irish Coffee). For shopping (and axe throwing) hit the Marketplace at the Cooke, and say hi to Liz at Bake Erie for Caitlin. Take a stroll up to Jackson Street Pier & hang out by the water. Beautiful place to walk around and hang out for an afternoon!
