Our Wedding

Caitlin and I met at a work training, but I’m not really sure I’d call it meeting because we never said a word to each other. I didn’t think anything of it but after the training I couldn’t get my mind off of her. After months of thinking about Caitlin I finally mustered the courage to send her a message. She replied and conversation ensued. This was different though, we talked like we had known each other our entire lives. We got to know each other and finally had a first date, we went for breakfast in Milton, due to our crazy 2nd shift schedule. We sat at a table and talked like we were best friends. I remember being nervous going to the date and once we started talking all my nerves went away, and I was just able to be comfortable around Caitlin. Many dates followed and many lates nights staying up talking or going to the bar after work, just to have an excuse to spend an hour together before we had to go our separate ways. One of our first dates, we went to downtown Madison and walked down state street, we stopped in for a drink at a couple bars and then dinner at Eno Vino. I remember walked along the terrace when I looked over and saw Caitlin had a visible booger. Now this was a crucial moment in our relationship because I had to decide if I would just let her rock that thing around in public or just tell her even though she might be a little embarrassed. I decided to tell her, and I think she was a little embarrassed but we both laughed it off like it was nothing. She later told me that I made the right decision telling her because if she saw it without me pointing it out she would have been upset. Every second I spend with Caitlin, to this day, I fall deeper in love with her. We have some of the best memories together. Driving 10 hours to pickup our golden retriever, Oakley. Finding out we were going to be parents, going through the entire process of becoming parents to the sweetest little boy and everything in between. We have had to grow up a lot since we’ve known each other and we have been through our share of hardships together. Through everything I have had her there to pick me up when I need it. Today we don’t have many late nights at the bar we aren’t running on 2 hours of sleep staying up all night talking to each other. That must be part of parenthood, we are usually ready to be in bed at 10 pm if we aren’t working. Every day I fall more in love with my best friend and I am so excited to share our wedding day with you all. This just my version of how our relationship began and where it is today but we are both so excited to celebrate this day with you all.

Tommy’s Version

Tommy and I initially "met" at a work training. I remember getting a friend request from someone named "Lake Tobias" and I remember thinking to myself, thats a cool name! Tommy and I never talked and I didn't really think anything of it. One day, Tommy messaged me about a call at work and we really hit it off after that. From that day on, I knew there was something special about Tommy. A few short days after we started talking, we decided we would go on a breakfast date. I had never had such any easy time talking to somebody. Once we were going our separate ways after our date, Tommy was so nervous that he tripped over a curb. Of course I had to point it out. At this point, I realized this was someone I could see myself spending the rest of my life with. After that first date, we couldn't spend enough time together. Whether it be coffee dates before work, having lunch together at work, or just driving around after work. After a close to a month of talking, I asked Tommy "are you ever going to ask me out?" Tommy, being the easy going guy that he is, had thought it should have just been obvious that we were dating, and didn't know he had to ask. The love Tommy and I have had for each other since that first date has only grown stronger with time. On October 23rd, Tommy and I were getting maternity photos taken, or so I thought. Little did I know, Tommy and our photographer (and friend) had picked the most beautiful location for Tommy to surprise me with a proposal. The very next day, Tommy rushed me to the hospital where I remained until October 29th, when we welcomed our pride and joy into the world. Seeing Tommy be such an amazing father to Wyatt has brought me so much joy! Tommy is truly my best friend and the piece I had been missing. Through thick and thin, Tommy has been my rock. I am so excited to celebrate our love story with all of you!
