Connor and I met the "old fashion" way...on Bumble! It was late January, January 25th to be exact (lol thank you snapchat memories), when my friend Taylor and I decided to go out in Dallas for some day drinking fun! At the time I was basically Tommy (her now husband) and Taylor's third wheel, so Tay took it upon herself to spruce up my Bumble account and get to swiping. Eventually Taylor showed me Connor's profile, and after a few drinks for some "liquid courage" I messaged Connor. We only ended up briefly messaging each other that afternoon, and never spoke again. Fast forward a month later, I'm sitting with my friend/roommate Nicole in our apartment discussing whether or not I should delete the dating apps, when all of a sudden I get a notification from Connor asking how I've been and if I had forgotten about him!

The next weekend I drove out to Fort Worth to meet up with Connor for dinner and drinks! Of course with online dating, ladies usually have some sort of back up plan in case things go south. So at the time I knew Tommy and Taylor were also going to be out and about in Fort Worth as well, so if I needed an "escape" I could meet up with them. Now luckily that was NOT the case! I don't know what it was but within the first few moments of meeting Connor, I instantly felt like I had known him my whole life. He made me laugh and we could talk about anything and everything without skipping a beat! We ended up going to dinner at "The Reservoir" and split a bucket of Miller Lites and some of their famous chicken tenders! Dinner was going great, until all of a sudden I see Taylor and Tommy stumble into the restaurant! I had forgotten Taylor had my location, and she decided it would be a good idea to crash the date! Now as you can imagine I was horrified, since I didn't want Connor to think I had secretly reached out to her to come "save me"! But of course he handled it with grace and ended up sharing some beers with Tommy! Safe to say he passed the "best friend" test pretty early in the relationship! We eventually left Tommy and Taylor and made our way to "Hooky", a local country bar! We danced and sang along with DJ the rest of night. After that first date, the rest was history. We both fell for each other pretty quick after that night and have been by each other's side ever since.
