We first met when our paths crossed at a local dive bar in Austin, TX thanks to a mutual friend.
"I remember looking up at him for the first time and his whole face lit up. Then I proceeded to order a Bloody Mary at 11 pm, just to see if he would order it. He came back down the stairs with the same beaming face, Bloody Mary in tow. I knew that this was going to get interesting," Caitlin recalled.
We had been dating for just a few months when the Pandemic hit and things got scary. Our days began to be filled with binge watching shows and take out veggie burgers.
After countless hours of sketch comedy, music videos, and breakfast tacos - we realized this thing has got some potential.
Vaccines finally became available, but we decided not only to continue hanging out, but to move in together!
We eventually got our first home. Solidifying "dibs" on each others social calendar forever.
Our Proposal:
We had dinner at the same restaurant we had our first date at, then we went to one of our favorite coffee shops. We came back to our house and drank our coffee on our porch looking up at the stars. "I thought this was cute, but odd for Cinco De Mayo festivities, " Caitlin said.
"I was so stuck in my own head I didn't even know the date, " Tim recalled.
"I looked up at the stars and back down to Tim and he had a ring in his hand! After my immediate reaction of disbelief, I said yes," Caitlin said.
We had found our special place in the world together and we're so excited to share the love.
