For those staying at Hotel Madison and Courtyard by Marriott, there will be a shuttle to and from the wedding venue. The bus will pick up from Hotel Madison at 3:20-3:35 p.m. and from Courtyard by Marriott at 3:45-3:55 p.m. The bus will take two trips back to the hotels from the reception at 9 and 10:15 p.m.

The ceremony and reception will be and Brix and Columns Vineyards. Their address is 1501 Dave Berry Rd, McGaheysville, VA 22840.

Yes, there is ample free parking.

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors and reception indoors. However, in the case if inclement weather, all festivities will be held indoors.

The dress code is black tie optional.

In order to all allow all guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation and celebration we have chosen for our wedding day to be an adult only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the evening off! (Exception for nursing mothers.)

Please mail all wedding gifts to our home, so we don't have to figure out how to get them back to Minnesota! Please reach out to us or our family if you do not know our address.

We recommend that those who need to fly in arrive at Dulles or Reagan airport in D.C. This is about a 2 hour drive from Harrisonburg, but flights into D.C. tend to be more reliable and affordable with many options for times and airlines. (Keep D.C. rush hour traffic in mind if you're flying into Reagan!) The closest airport is in Weyers Cave, or Staunton, Virginia. This airport is very small with limited flights per day. (Airport code: SHD) The next closest airport is in Charlottesville, Virginia. It is about an hour away from Harrisonburg. There are more flight options than SHD, but sometimes these flights are a little less reliable and affordable because the airport is small.

The Welcome Party is at the Hall of Presidents on the top floor of JMU's D-Hall. It starts at 7:30! Guests who need accessible parking can park in the A lot by D-Hall. All other guests can park in the Grace Street parking garage. (There is a 5 minute walk from Hotel Madison and the Grace Street garage to D-Hall, so for those in heels, plan accordingly!)
