Sean and Caitlin can’t pinpoint for certain when it was that they first met. It could have been in the halls of elementary school or maybe at the little league fields growing up. However, during senior year of high school they both started working at Tua Cucina, the local pizzeria in town. It was here that they grew closer as friends and eventually started dating. They spent the rest of the school year making memories like going to the prom together and graduating from high school before heading off to college in the fall of 2011. Sean was heading to Siena College and Caitlin went off to the University of Alabama. They dated long distance through their freshman year but ultimately decided to part ways before heading back to school for their second year.

Over the next nine years, Caitlin and Sean occasionally kept in touch and would bump into each other around town at the local restaurants and bars. Fast forward to 2020, Caitlin had moved from Manhattan back to her hometown of Blauvelt due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Coincidentally, Sean was living in Blauvelt as well. However, it wasn’t until August of 2021 where they bumped into each other at the local Italian restaurant, Del Arte. They were both with their parents so of course everyone caught up with each other a little bit before heading home. About a week later, Sean called Caitlin to ask her out to dinner. While at dinner that night it was like no time had passed and within a couple of weeks they decided to get back together after nearly a decade.

As they say – the rest is history. They picked up right where they left off. They’ve traveled to places like Ireland and London (with plans for many more trips), moved from Blauvelt to Boston to Long Beach Island, NJ where Sean proposed to Caitlin on the beach in September of 2023.
