Mike and Cait met in New Haven in 2017. Cait was working as a teacher and Mike was working on his PhD at Yale. On their first date, they bonded over Hamilton and Mike introduced Cait to Andrew. Since then they have been on adventures to Sweden, Spain, Israel, Panama, Colorado, Florida, Las Vegas, and Vermont. They moved to New York with Andrew in a 2019, but due to COVID were in New Jersey with Mike's parents when he proposed and of course Andrew was there too.
