The venue is a barn in a small town in rural Maine. We are going for a rustic fall and wildflower aesthetic! This is first and foremost a happy gathering, and we want everyone to be comfortable and to enjoy the day as much as possible!

A sugarhouse is a place where maple sap is boiled and refined into maple syrup. Our venue is a family owned farm, formerly a dairy farm, that makes maple syrup and uses their renovated barn for events. https://simmonsmaple.com

Please feel free to wear whatever is comfortable for you! The ceremony will be outside on a lawn and the reception will be inside the barn area. Bring your dancing shoes and something warm for the evening.

Absolutely, this is a child friendly wedding! We will have an activities table to help keep little ones busy, but please feel free to bring anything that you may need for the day.

The venue will be serving their speciality maple BBQ, pork and hot dogs! There will be additional sides, alternative entree options, and a dessert table. Please let us know in the RSVP section if you have any dietary needs that we can accommodate.

Yes, we plan on serving a selection of beer, wine, and seltzers. ALL guests that plan on drinking should also plan on a sober driver taking them home at the end of the evening, this is a firm stipulation of our venue as the owner is also a law enforcement officer. Taxis and Ubers in Belfast are limited, so we recommend researching these options ahead of time. Please enjoy yourself responsibly and be respectful of others.
