Our Wedding

Caitlin and Gerry met online for the first time early in 2020, and as fate would have it the world shut down shortly after. Neither knew that 3 years later they would enter each others lives again. When they re-met in 2023 they both quickly knew that a date was in order. Gerry planned a picnic for them. They each agreed to cook up something for their picnic and would meet by the Philadelphia art museum. Caitlin brought some nice cheese, made brownies, roasted peppers, and tea sandwiches. Gerry made a quiche, brought champagne, and a lemon raspberry tart that to this day is one of the best desserts Caitlin has ever had. The day of their first date, due to a phone glitch, Gerry initially thought he had been stood up, much to Caitlin's horror. However he was persistent, and he managed to contact her through Facebook. Caitlin was in a panic when she found out he thought she had ditched him, and assured him that was not the case. She still remembers Gerry telling her that his 'heart dropped out from his stomach' when he thought she bailed. He would later tell her after they got engaged that he knew even before their in person meeting that he had found his dream girl. Caitlin felt the same about Gerry and was certain that their meeting again was a push from the universe bringing them together. When Caitlin remembers their first date she notes that it didn't feel like their first date at all, but as if they already knew each other on a deep personal level. Their early noon picnic turned into a 8 hour date, and each kept finding excuses to extend their time together. Quickly they were inseparable, and the rest is history. Together Caitlin and Gerry live a rich life together. They have a dog and three cats, love to travel and find new adventures, go on hikes, spend a lot of time with friends and share their hobbies with each other. They love to cook, bake, and host gatherings. They share a love of plants, nice wine, music, bad romcoms, Halloween, never run out of things to talk about or share with each other and cherish each others individuality. In one another they have found a true partner and equal and each feel that the things that set them apart from one another bring them closer together. They affectionately refer to each other as their puzzle piece, as they are both unique people but fit together perfectly. On the inside of Caitlin's engagement ring Gerry had "Puzzle Pieces" inscribed. No matter the challenge they rise to it together, support each other, and lift each other up. If soulmates are real, they have found one in the other (Even though Gerry has never watched Parks and Recreation--IYKYK).
