Our Wedding

The first important words said to each other were, “Hey there!” and the next, “I love you.” We can’t wait for our next words to be, “I Do!” We met online in September of 2023. An instant connection over sports made the perfect first date spot, a dive bar for baseball and wings. Even though we root for different teams (some more questionable than others), we share a love for the games. We have introduced each other to sports and teams we love and have sat through Braves and Eagles games…if that isn’t love, I don’t know what is! This has been a staple in our relationship. There’s a strong possibility that if you stop by, we’re watching a game. We have connected on our love for our friends and family, our willingness to help out, good food, and so much more. We have enjoyed our similarities, while also embracing our differences. While Cait has won the thermostat war for now, Josh has officially converted Cait to a Carhartt-lover. Josh is still not sold on Taylor Swift, but accepts when Cait plays it…a lot. Cait has gotten Josh on the Dancing with the Stars bandwagon, and Josh successfully got Cait to answer: WE ARE! Everything that we have experienced together has been natural and normal. It didn’t take long for us to realize this was special. We are so excited to have you share in our wedding day! Abby was Cait's best friend for 10 years. In the summer of 2022, just 6 days before her bachelorette party, Abby was given the life-altering news that she has cancer. Even with her courageous spirit, bubbly personality, and unwavering support from her husband, Nick, Abby passed away in November of 2023. Cait and Abby had many conversations over the years of what their weddings would be like. Abby would have been standing next to Cait, excited as ever. As hard as it is to not have Abby here physically, she is involved in every way possible. Abby will have a spot in the bridal party and will be celebrating along with us. Cait and Josh are honored to have Nick in our wedding and as a dear friend. Please consider following Nick's nonprofit, in honor of Abby: Smiles For Abby. The mission is to provide support for newly diagnosed young cancer patients.
