Danny and Caitlin met on a dating app at the beginning of March, 2020. Danny had just moved to the Phoenix area where Caitlin had lived her whole life. After a lucky swipe-right many messages were exchanged (Caitlin has Screenshots to prove) a first date was planned for March 14th, 2020. Just a couple days before Arizona officially went into quarantine to help combat this new, strange virus. During the date, Danny and Caitlin mused about 'this corona virus thing' and how 'it would probably go away in a week or two' while the staff at Hula's Modern Tiki was stacking away all tables and chairs preparing to close for a long time.

Due to the longer than expected quarantine both Caitlin and Danny were furloughed from their jobs and decided to make the most of the time they had together. Many dinners were cooked together, days talking during swimming pool days.

Eventually, it was time to introduce Danny to Caitlin's family. Dinner was going wonderfully until Caitlin's father, Al, showed Danny the finished Fenway Park puzzle (remember everyone was doing puzzles during quarantine??). Now, Al knew that Danny was a New York Yankees Fan but, what he wasn't expecting was Danny bringing up a painful memory for any Red Sox Fan- when Bucky Dent hit a home run in 1978 over the Green Monster. The silence seemed like a lifetime but, only seconds later Al laughed and loves to tell this story to anyone who will listen.

Fast Forward to moves to Denver, Chicago and back to Phoenix, Danny proposed to Caitlin on February 29th, 2024 at 2:29pm. Just a moment later, the most incredible double rainbow appeared in the sky over Monterey Bay which seemed like kismet.
