Our Story

It all started in 2017 when we were both home from college. We saw something in each other that made us want to work for it. Nothing worth having comes easy! Those three long years were full of traveling every break we had to each other. Going up to freezing Buffalo to see Niagara Falls and eat buffalo wings or coming to Alabama to see the tide win and drink yellowhammers. It brought us closer together and we cherished the time we spent together. When we were apart we would have facetime dates and talk all night about what our future plans were until one of us fell asleep.

When Cameron came to visit my sophomore year, we started our little family by adopting our first fur baby together named May. She is a crazy little black kitten that stole our hearts. Two years later, we added Bear to the mix as a Valentine’s Day present for our first Valentine’s Day spent together in the same state. He started out as our little potato and has turned into our big love. Our little family continued to grow as we added Penny, the crazy nut that swats everything she sees. We would not change our little zoo for the world.

After we both graduated, we moved in together and started the next chapter of our lives. I learned how to deal with him eating all my leftovers and he learned how to fill up my water without me even having to ask. We grew into adults with real responsibilities together and worked through the challenges of living and sharing our space with each other. The biggest challenge being Cameron’s video game addiction mixing with my reality TV obsession. It was not easy but we always came to a compromise...where I usually just won.

As we all know opposites attract. We bring out the best in each other while also teaching each other new ways to look at life. I got Cameron to go out and experience a life of traveling and partying…sometimes a little too late. He introduced me to a world of going home early and learning that it is okay to say no and that staying in and having FOMO (fear of missing out) actually won’t kill you. As much as I love to call him a boring old man and he likes to call me a crazy social butterfly, we love giving each other the opportunity to try something new… even if we don’t appreciate it in the moment.

After almost 7 years of dating, Cameron decided he was finally ready to pop the question. We went on one of our many adventures and flew out to Cabo together. During our trip in true Cameron fashion, he found a way to take a foolproof plan of proposal and miss the cue to bring us down to the beach secretly. It was a gorgeous night with a beautiful view and a day we will truly never forget. We are so excited to continue our love story and see what the future brings.

Now as we plan our wedding, we are so proud to have all of you on our journey. Looking back at the past 7 years at all the memories we have created is truly a blessing. From meeting each other's families to supporting each other through life's ups and downs, the time we spent together is something we will never take for granted. Knowing we have each other to fall back on will get us through anything life throws our way. Being surrounded by such amazing family and friends daily reminds us how lucky we are to have all of you in our lives.
