Caitlyn and Brendan's story began on the San Marcos River. Caitlyn was a student at Texas State University while Brendan was visiting from A&M Galveston. Upon being introduced by mutual friends, the two instantly clicked. They bonded over their love of all things nerdy and making fun of their mutual friends. They ended up seeing each other a few more times that week, growing closer while country dancing, getting dinner with friends, and even going to an anime convention.

When Brendan went back to Galveston, they made a plan to see each other again. Caitlyn drove the 3 ½ hours to Galveston from San Marcos to visit Brendan the first time. It didn’t take long for them to start dating (within the first few hours of being back together!) and since then have been inseparable. Brendan would often make the same 3 ½ hour drive to San Marcos for a weekend to see Caitlyn, sometimes making a drive just to surprise her during the week!

Following their graduations, the couple decided to embark on a new chapter of their lives together in Houston.

On December 16, 2023, Brendan proposed to Caitlyn. Overjoyed, she said yes, sealing their commitment to a future filled with love and shared adventures. Love is a wonderful thing, and Caitlyn and Brendan are so excited to spend forever with each other.
