Our Wedding

Our story began back in 2019 at Volunteers of America; a local thrift store in Pickerington Ohio. It was my senior year of high school, and Leo had just moved to Ohio a few months prior. I wasn’t really looking for love or a relationship really… I just needed a summer job… LOL. They say love comes when you least expect it, and that’s exactly what happened. Leo came into my life when I wasn’t even looking for love.   Like I mentioned before, Leo and I met at the thrift store in Pickerington. I was a cashier/ sales associate on the sales floor working part time and Leo worked in the back production room full time. We had always glanced at each other here and there and smiled at one another every now and then, but we were always both too shy to talk to each other. I guess you could say we were eye flirting just waiting to see who would make the first move. This went on for a few weeks until one day everything changed.   It all started on April 17th, 2019. It was during shift change. I would start work at 4pm and Leo would be leaving work at around 4:30pm. The night shift crew had all gotten their assignments for the evening, and I was assigned register and was in charge of keeping the Bricky isle clean. (The Bricky isle was filled with the most random things ever). I remember I had got into the aisle thinking to myself “I have no idea where any of this stuff goes”. (Picture you’re at Walmart and there’s just a bunch of random stuff in random areas. That’s how that isle was but 10x worse). Then all of a sudden, Leo stops by and he goes “you better not f**k up my isle”. (As if LOL). But for some reason that kind of made him more attractive. I laughed and smiled at him, and we instantly connected. It was love at first sight. I said back to him something along the lines of “I’ll try not to mess things up but I don’t know where any of this stuff is supposed to go and I don’t know what I’m doing”. I remember thinking to myself, “man, he’s kinda cute”. I then got called up to count into my register as morning shift was getting ready to leave, and Leo was called to the back to clock out for the day. I remember 4:30 had hit, and our manager had called out “4:30 production. 4:30 production time to go home” on the PA system. I know I said I wasn’t looking for anything, but I secretly had hopped he would make the first move and stop by my register before he left. Then all of a sudden, Leo comes out the production doors and runs to come say Hi to me again and he asks for my Snapchat. I thought he was cute, so I caved and gave in, and eventually gave him my phone number. We would talk for hours on the phone and even fall asleep on FaceTime. 4 years later, and the rest is history. ❤️ We now have 3 pets together. 2 dogs and a cat, have had 2 apartments together, and are so excited to officially start our lives as Husband and Wife.
