The dress code is dressy-casual. If we have to dress up, so do you. But we’d like you to also be comfortable.

Anyone who knows the U.P. weather knows it’s unpredictable, for early May. I would expect some spring chill.

If you’re coming from out of town, I’d recommend staying in Newberry. They have a Quality Inn & Suite as well as an Americas Best Value Inn. Newberry is about 15 minutes from the ceremony.

Derek and I would love for you to bring your children. But, we would like to warn everyone that there may be some louder than usual noises at our ceremony. We've chosen a unity ceremony that best reflects our lifestyle. We will be shooting low-caliber rifles at a target as representation of our union. It will be at a safe distance from our guests, and hearing protection will be provided.

No, our ceremony area will not have bathrooms. Our reception is at a separate location but will have bathrooms.
