We met when we were both students at UND, and vaguely knew each other through working at the dining center for a while. Eventually, in November 2021, Caleb and I started dating knowing that come May, he would likely be moving away from Grand Forks. And so, after 6 months of dating, we began what would become nearly two years of long distance dating that (finally!) ended when we bought our home together. The day we were doing our "final walkthrough", Caleb proposed in our (soon to be!) dining room, which had been decorated the night before by Caleb and our realtor. I was not very surprised because neither Caleb or our realtor were very sneaky!

I immediately thought my ring looked familiar. It was when Caleb confirmed it had been made from my mother's wedding ring that I started to cry.
