Lamentations 3:21-23, “This I recall to my mind, and therefore I have hope. The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”
Caleb’s favorite Bible verse
1 John 4:10-11, “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”
Shelbi’s favorite memory with Caleb
“It’s so hard to pick just one, we have so much fun together. But if I had to pick, it would be our first picnic together. We were newly dating, when Caleb asked me what my dream date would be. To both of our surprise, we had the same idea. That day was so special. We got all dressed up, I remember stressing myself out going store to store to find the “perfect” picnic basket. I wanted that day to be perfect, and it turned out to be just that. It was full of laughs and great conversation. That date still plays out in my head from time to time, such a sweet memory.”
Caleb’s favorite memory with Shelbi
“I had been seeing advertisements on instagram for a shark robe onesie for a few weeks. I didn’t think much of it, but the target audience for the advertisement were couples. A few weeks later and Shelbi sent me the advertisement for the shark onesie on a whim.
Some wisdom in my church’s marriage class rang in my head, “the intentions of man and woman in marriage is to make the other more like who they are.” It’s the services that we will eventually do for each other when married. But I didn’t see the harm in putting that in practice.
Fast forward another week and I knew that she wanted that shark onesie. But I also knew that she would never justify getting one herself. So I did.
I don’t think I’ve seen that much joy from one person ever. That’s my favorite memory so far.”
