Caleb and Liz met at work in 2021. They were co-workers first then friends. Caleb was really interested in getting to know Liz so he would try to talk to her in any chance he got, but Liz wasn’t much of a talkative person. That didn’t stop Caleb from insisting on talking to Liz, that’s when Liz realize how persistent he was and how he actually listened to what she had to say, then she decided to actually talk to him more. They spent a lot of time together at work and getting along really well. The more they talked, the more they realized they were liking each other.
Finally, one day after work, Caleb had the courage to ask Liz on a date, that same week he gave her the first of many letters. Liz loved such gesture, because she got to keep that letter as a memory of how their relationship started. They had their first date January 17 2022, at downtown Eau Claire. Despite Caleb being nervous he knew how to hide it well by making Liz laugh. Caleb made Liz feel comfortable that she could just be herself. After walking for a while, they made it to Owen Park. They sat on the bench facing the river and stayed there for a long time talking. At the end of the day Caleb finally asked Liz if she wanted to be his girlfriend and that’s when they started dating.
2 years later, Caleb proposes at the same spot where it all begin… at that bench.
