Our Wedding

Our story actually begins about ten years ago. We were both attending Central DeWitt High School. We were sitting next to each other in choir class when we met for the very first time. I thought Caleb was funny, we both liked music and singing, and soon we became good friends. We stayed friends for the rest of high school. I went off to college at Iowa State University, and Caleb went to the University of Iowa. We didn't have tons of time on our hands, but we managed to stay in touch here and there. College flew by, and by the end, Caleb took a chance and asked me on a date. We started going out, and the rest is history. We would drive to see each other on weekends and talked all the time. It wasn't easy, always being in different places. I took a job in Fairfield, Iowa, and Caleb was in Iowa City, but we still managed to find time for each other. After school, Caleb found a job in Waverly, IA. We had been doing long distance for a while when we decided we wanted to move in together, so I finished out the school year and then moved to Waverly with Caleb. We continued to date for a few more years, living together and building a home, when we decided, or rather I decided, to adopt a puppy. We had so much fun starting a little family and taking care of Teddy. We stayed in Waverly for another year, building our life together, when Caleb decided it was time for a career change. He interviewed and accepted a job in Toledo, OH. We were back to long distance, but that didn't stop us from seeing each other. Many weekends were spent driving to Toledo. We explored Toledo and searched for a home of our own. After looking for a while, we finally found a house that was just right for our little family. When I finished the school year, Teddy and I moved to Toledo and joined Caleb. We did house project after house project, explored the city, and continued to have fun together. Finally, in March, Caleb got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. I couldn't think of a better person to go through life with. I said yes, and I couldn't have made a better decision. Here's to forever!

We will be offering transportation from the hotels, Stoney Creek Inn, The Irish Cottage Inn and Suites, and Country Inn and Suites. Transportation will be through Davis Bus Lines.
