Caleb and Mackenzie met in March of 2021. Mackenzie was interviewing for a job at Maxim Healthcare where Caleb currently works. When she met with Caleb, she was so nervous she barely spoke or asked any questions. Following her pit sit, Caleb's boss requested feedback from everyone, and asked whether or not she should be hired. Caleb told him, "No, she's mute." Meanwhile, Mackenzie was thinking how handsome and intimidating Caleb was.

Regardless of his feedback, Mackenzie was hired (thanks, Ryan) and started there in April of 2021. From there, Caleb and Mackenzie's friendship flourished. They realized they had a lot more in common once Mackenzie finally had the courage to speak to him. They bonded over their love for music, food, WVU sports, their shared sense of humor, and drinking beer. Eventually, they grew feelings for each other. Mackenzie would refer to Caleb as her "work crush." The only issue was that Mackenzie had a long distance boyfriend.

In early August of 2021, Mackenzie and Caleb were out with their Maxim coworkers one evening. Caleb looked over at Mackenzie and said, "I need you to break up with your boyfriend." Mackenzie was shocked by his forwardness, but ultimately listened to him because two weeks later, she broke up with him. By September of 2021 (neither one can remember the exact date), Mackenzie and Caleb were official!

Mackenzie and Caleb have been together for almost three years. During this time, they have travelled all over the world, moved into a home together, added two furry children to their family, and created lasting memories. On March 15, 2024, after Caleb schemed and plotted, he popped the question with flowers and a bottle of Modelo. After she said "yes," Caleb and Mackenzie went to Drummy's, one of their favorite spots in Saint Albans and was greeted by their close friends and family.
