Victoria and Caleb first met while working as lifeguards at Six Flags Whitewater in 2021. Between the hot sun, busy pools, and long shifts, they quickly got to know each other through their fellow coworkers, and their story began. They found ways to spend time together whenever they could—talking during breaks, working the same pools and rides, or hanging out after work over Baja Blasts and Chipotle. No matter what they were doing, they enjoyed being around each other.

When the summer ended, they went their separate ways. With school and distance, staying connected was difficult during that season of life, even though neither of them realized what the future would hold.

Over the next couple of summers, they continued working at the park. They both remembered the connection they once had, but neither made a move to restart it. Another two seasons of heat, busy days, and lifeguard shifts passed, and life moved on.

Then, in the last few days of 2023, Victoria sent Caleb a text. What started as two friends catching up slowly turned into something more. After weeks of talking and reconnecting, the spark between them grew again. Their relationship deepened through Bible studies, late-night FaceTime calls, and countless conversations—sometimes in loud dorm rooms, sometimes in quiet locker rooms. Through those moments, their friendship and love for one another grew stronger.

Even after years apart and hundreds of miles between them, Victoria and Caleb found their way back to each other. They are incredibly grateful for how their story unfolded and are excited to see what God has planned for their relationship in the future.
