The Beginning

On a bus ride to visit Lone Star College in 2016, Dylan stuck a sticker with his name on it on Caleigh’s head and our story officially begins there. In the fall of 2016, Caleigh and Dylan had a chemistry class together. There was a seat open in front of Caleigh and Dylan moved over to it for the remainder of the school year and that is when they started talking more and their friendship grew. After a while, they began dating January 2017. They supported each other with every extracurricular and attended every show, game, or concert that was occurring.
The Middle

Both graduated from Spring HS in 2019. Caleigh was going off to Denton to attend Texas Woman’s University and Dylan was going to attend University of Houston. Both were adjusting to the college life and being apart during that time. Caleigh began nursing school Fall 2021 and they moved into an apartment down the street from the Medical Center in Houston. They had so many adventures and memories made during that time like going to concerts, going on a trip to London/England, road trips to North Carolina and Florida, and many date nights throughout Houston and The Woodlands. In May 2023 Caleigh graduated from nursing school/college. A few days later, they were leaving on a trip with friends and family to go to Rome to leave on a cruise around the Mediterranean.
The Proposal

The group landed in Rome, Italy in May 17th at 8am. They hit the ground running by dropping luggage off at their hotel, getting food and drinks after a long travel day, and then doing a golf cart tour of Rome for a few hours. After the golf cart tour, the group decided to go see the Trevi Fountain. Rounding the corner, we all realized how busy the area was at that time. We took pictures from the side of the fountain and then managed to work our way to the front part of the fountain. Caleigh and Dylan were front and center as their friend Luke took their pictures and when the timing was right, Dylan bent down to “tie his shoe”, got down on one knee, and pulled out the ring box. It was a shock to Caleigh and an easy question to answer! As everyone in the area celebrated around them, Caleigh and Dylan were both ecstatic.
The Now

In the midst of stress from everyday life and wedding planning, we’ve all managed to still enjoy ourselves with traveling, working, or just relaxing at home watching a movie or reading a book. Wedding planning has been stressful, but also a lot of fun! We’ve all been working hard and making decisions on what we want the wedding to be like, and we’re really excited to celebrate this special day with everyone!
