Cal and Josh met as children at McNiel Junior High in 2008 when Josh was 14 and Cal was 13. After being in the same social circle for several months, a case of puppy love burned bright and fast between the two. Throughout high school, the two remained friends as their lives grew apart. Josh pursued music, playing shows locally and recording albums, while Cal pursued academics and art. After graduation, the two became close friends, and remained that way through countless chapters of life. No matter the city, the country, or the time difference, Josh and Cal always made time to hear about each other’s adventures. They began to date again in 2019, when Cal moved back to Texas. They spent four and a half happy years together as a couple before Josh proposed on Christmas Day in 2023. Now, they both patiently await the day they can call each other husband and wife.
