Cali and Chad's mothers worked together at Charlotte State Bank and Trust. As they were growing up they saw one another at bank functions like the company picninc or bring your child to work day. Their mothers continually tried to put them together and finally they agreed to go on a couple of dates when they were 14 or 15. Chad (known to Cali as CJ at the time) was not very talkative at that age. In the end they decided they were just too busy and lived in different worlds as far as they were concerned (only about 15 minutes away from one another but unable to drive it seemed like a long way).

Skip through High School and four years of Cali off partying at Flagler College while Chad worked hard fixing pool heaters. Cali moved back home mid 2018 after graduation. After a few months of her being back home their moms began playing match maker again. This time, when Chad and Cali got together, they laughed and talked for hours, enjoying one another's company.

That is the beginning of their love story that has spanned the past 5 years. They have travelled together, dressed up together, visited friends and family. They have supported each other's growth through schooling and trying new things. Together they have made it through good times and bad. They have the support of their friends and family and their lives are full of love.
