Jacob and Callie first met at a mutual friends house December, 2021. They spent the next few months hanging out in the same friend group, but rarely actually talked to one another. Callie hung out with the girls in the group and Jacob with the boys.

Clearly that didn't work...

After 4 months of being around eachother, Callie and Jacob finally started talking more. They went basically everywhere together. Jacob even stayed up a whole 48 hours on a drill weekend to spend time will Callie.

They quickly became inseperable (Thank you Jason and Peggy for letting Callie move in for a few months ;) and planned a pre-deployment trip to Tennessee to have another weekend together before Jacob left for three months. This trip is where Jacob OFFICIALLY asked Callie to be his girlfriend. 07/07/2021

One brisk September evening Jacob asked Callie to go to a Brewer game with his close friend Miles Preifer. Miles is an amazing photographer who convinced Callie he wanted to expand his portfolio and take some couple pictures. Callie quickly agreed and allowed Miles to help set up a fun weekend getaway, in Door County, to spend time with friends and take photos.

What Callie didn't know was that Jacob had a different agenda for this trip.

November 12th came around and the group of friends were having a great time exploring all Door County had to offer. Miles showed Jacob and Callie a beautiful spot at Cave Point where he wanted to take some photos. Callie became semi-suspicious of the motive behind this photo shoot, but didn't want to get her hopes up.

After taking all the photos, Callie knew she was silly to think it was a secret proposal, until Miles asked to take one more photo near the cliff's edge. Miles asked Callie and Jacob to stand back to back, giving Jacob time to grab the ring out of his boot (Jacob did a really good job hiding the ring from Callie). When Callie turned to face Jacob he was on one knee with the most beautiful ring in his hand.

After months of begging, Jacob finally Caved.
