Our Story

Callie and Jessie met in 2012 after a fateful Facebook message. They became fast friends amidst the dramatics of teenage life.


In September 2012, Callie moved away to Sudbury and Jessie moved away to London. They stayed in touch, primarily bonding over their mutual adoration of Lady Gaga and their sarcastic sense of humour.


Finally, in June 2014, they decided to take a chance on a relationship together. They did long distance for three years, but ultimately chose to create a life together in Sarnia.


A thousand adventures and games of Dutch Blitz later, here they are, ready to tie the knot on their eighth anniversary.

They go to their first pride festival together. They complete a research study at the festival to get $40 spending money. Still one of the best days of their lives.

They go their separate ways for college and university, with Cal in Sudbury and Jessie in London. They manage to catch up over quick visits. On this particular night, Jessie didn't want to admit she didn't know where she was, and it took 45 minutes to drive 2km to East Side Mario's. Callie just laughed about getting lost.

Callie and Jessie start going on road trips in bad outfits, their first to see a teeny tiny Tegan and Sara concert. Jessie's girlfriend is starting to get annoyed by this friendship (now that we're getting married I can see why...).

They carpool to Ottawa to visit friends, but end up spending the entire weekend together. Callie finds a man wearing the exact same shirt as her, and she gets smooched by a drag queen. This was all possible because B allowed us to gallivant across the province in her car.
