We first met as high school sophomores at West Columbia High School. From the start, I was drawn to his tall, funny, and empathetic nature. We were only 15 then, so it was a while before we went on any official dates. Our first date was actually a football game, and after the game, his dad invited me over for dinner—so technically, our first date was at his parents’ dinner table.

After a year of being together, I had to move back up to Jarrell, four hours away. We were so young, but we took on the challenge of a long-distance relationship for two years. It wasn’t always easy, but it taught us how to trust and lean on each other even when we were miles apart. When he graduated, he moved up here to be with me, and we finally closed the gap for good.

He proposed in the most magical way: a Skytop hotel room overlooking Austin and the lake, filled with balloons, candles, and sweet signs. That night, we swam under the stars in the rooftop pool, dreaming about the future and feeling like the luckiest people in the world.

What I’m most excited about for our wedding day is having everyone we love in one space, celebrating this chapter of our journey. I’ve been waiting for almost a decade to be called Mrs. Eubanks, and I can’t wait to show our love to everyone who’s been part of our story.
