Our first date was at Cheddar's in College Station on April 24, 2022. We met on the dating app Hinge and talked for about two weeks before meeting in person. Callie thought the date went badly because she talked too much. Taylor thought it was perfect because he got to listen instead of talk.

We moved in to a two-bedroom apartment together with a plan on what would happen if this didn't work out between us. Thank goodness it did! Callie's cat, Winnie, and Taylor's dog, Everly, became siblings, though neither of them were very happy about it.

We bought a house! This was an exciting adventure for us both since Callie's dad and Taylor's mom are both in the house business. Callie's dad, Joel, is a land surveyor, and Taylor's mom, Kelley, is a real estate agent. Kelley helped us find the house and guided us through the buying process, and Joel surveyed the land for us. We loved that it was a family affair!

We got engaged! We went on a trip to Florida with Callie's family, and although we had been secretly planning the wedding for a couple of months, Taylor still managed to surprise Callie by proposing to her on a beautiful dock in Florida at sunset while it was lightly raining. It was gorgeous! Callie was surprised because she packed for the both of them and wondered where Taylor hid the ring. He hid it in a sock that he had put into a separate bag that he carried with him on the plane.
