The story begins in North Georgia in the towns of Cumming and Gainesville. Calyn and Jared grew up only a few miles apart but never knew about each other. Before Calyn was born, her parents met Jared when he was a toddler running around his grandmother’s café. Little did they know Jared would one day be their son in law. Soon enough, the day came around when Calyn and Jared’s worlds collided. After attempting to find a perfect partner in their local community, the two decided to test out the online world of dating. Here is a perfect example of a success story for a couple that was not able to meet until weeks after they matched on a dating app. That boat ride pick-up spot at Calyn’s parents dock followed by bow fishing on the lake was an ideal first date that quickly led to more days spent together. Although the next year was challenged with their different work and life schedules, they both were dedicated to making it work. Their relationship began to grow stronger and more intimate while staying each other’s best friend. The years went by consisting of holidays with the family, more fishing and boating on the lake, romantic movie nights, drinking beer with friends and quality time surrounded by southern cooking.&nbsp;&nbsp; Four years later, Jared took the next step in the same setting it all began. He got down on one knee on the island of Egmont Key after a morning of fishing in the Tampa bay. Her response you may ask? “well... yeah!!”. The happy couple is excited to begin their new life together and share more loving memories as husband and wife.&nbsp;

A few of the bride’s favorite local spots are Los Rios Mexican restaurant, Maria’s Italian Deli, Rendezvous Café, Roosters Café and Tams Backstage. If you adventure further south on the highway, there are plenty of delicious restaurants located at The Collection at Forsyth, The Halcyon, and The Avalon.&nbsp; As we travel further north towards Dawsonville, there are a variety of simple restaurants the groom loves. We recommend trying Chin Chin Chinese, Big D’s BBQ, Burger and Shake, Country Café, and Because Coffee. You must get the cinnamon roll from the Country Café! If you keep traveling up the highway, we highly recommend the delightful town of Dahlonega, GA. The small college town is filled with fun boutiques, great food and local bars. The Dahlonega Tasting Room will give you an enjoyable experience with wine tasting after checking out the antique shops located in the square.&nbsp; If you want to navigate away from the crowd and indulge in Georgia’s beautiful landscape, there are a variety of activities to do outside if weather permitting. Hiking Sawnee mountain preserve, going for a walk at the greenway, or enjoying a cool breeze by Lake Lanier are all offered to you when you visit our hometown. There is also the option to indulge in some drinks! The Nofo Brewing Company, The Blue Bicycle, and Cherry Street Brewing are there to offer good beer and a good time.&nbsp; We look forward to you visiting our hometown and making the most of your experience in Georgia.&nbsp;
