Our first date was at his Oscar Night during our senior year of high school. He received the “tiger pride” award, then we sat in McDonald’s and talked for hours. Neither of us had ever laughed so hard until that night.

We started dating and quickly became each other’s best friends. Camdyn is the best friend I have ever had. We always say we would rather have a hectic Monday together than an enjoyable Saturday with someone else.

All through college we have watched our relationship with both each other and Christ grow into something beautiful and strong. We learned how to love each other well because of the example that Jesus set for us. We spend our free time golfing, shopping, listening to Coldplay, and laughing at each other’s juvenile humor. Every year in college has been spent dreaming about getting married to celebrate the love God has blessed us with.

Our engagement was a day where our closest friends and family worked to make the day extra special. Camdyn told me to get ready in my favorite dress to go get “couple’s photos” together—Instead, he ended up taking me to Applebee’s. It felt so random! But once I realized what was happening, we giggled the whole drive back to my house. All our family and friends were there waiting. It was awkward, the temperature was scorching, and he was sweating profusely.

It was perfect.

We felt so appreciated by our most special people and we could never thank them enough for their love and support. Camdyn and I cannot wait to commit our lives to each other and or all the adventures we will face side-by-side.

To love and to be loved is the greatest joy on earth.
