For Cameron, our story (somewhat) began a few months prior to officially knowing one another. A mutual psychology class freshman year of college.
Cameron noticed a cute, shy, blue-eyed boy, who sat by himself in the back of the auditorium during class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. After a few weeks of classes, a roster for group projects was posted in class. Cameron looked up the first name she thought could be him on Instagram in hopes to find the shy boy she would sneak glances at each day. Out of the multiple students in the class, the first name that came up happened to belong to the one person she hoped it would, Brock Whitted. Cameron then had a name (and an Instagram profile) to put a face to.
The first semester ended and unfortunately, we did not share any classes the second semester of freshman year. Cameron “followed” Brock on Instagram and was delighted to see a friend request in return from him.
The second semester came and went, and the end of summer was closing out with one last hoorah (known as the “block parties”), before the Fall semester began. As the night was coming to an end, Cameron and her friends were walking down the block when Cameron made a quick stop at one of the houses. She recognized the cute boy from psychology class standing on the deck outside, and decided to make conversation. After talking for a while, we discovered that we both had a 20th birthday coming up, and also on the same day. We ended the night with a late night breakfast with friends at the M&M, and exchanged contact information.
We started talking daily and began dating a few months later. Since then, we have created so many unforgettable memories and experiences together. We got our sweet dog, Mae, and moved to Bozeman after graduating from Montana Tech in December of 2022, where we have resided since. After almost 5 years of dating, Brock proposed in the most thoughtful way the day before our 25th birthday, and it was the best birthday present yet!!
Whether it’s been trips out of the country or hours in the car up to Brock’s hometown of Shelby, going out on the town or staying home doing nothing, we have truly cherished every moment together and can’t wait to embark on this exciting journey. We are so excited to start our lives as husband and wife, and to be able to share such an important day with our closest friends and family.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you in July!
