Our story began in Santiago, Chile, where we met in Iglesia Bautista de Ñuñoa at a young adults group. Daniela only spoke briefly. She likes to say she didn’t think much of me in the beginning and thought I didn’t care (really I was lost in the Spanish). I thought she was cute but I was just looking for friends at that point.

I decided to follow her on Instagram. The next week Daniela responded to a story that I posted on IG about the new Thor movie and from there it was history (she’s never talked about the Thor movie again). We continued to grow together and date.

In case you're wondering, in the beginning I spoke Spanish but one day Daniela told me to speak in English and from there on out, I have spoken English to her and she has spoken Spanish to me (fun fact).

We enjoyed the time living in the city while we dated and after a year together, we began to talk about our next steps. Before I returned to America in December of 2023, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Daniela. There was one place in specific that we both love on the coast of Chile called Concón. This costal city has big sand dunes and I knew immediately that this is where I wanted to do it. So on December 6th I proposed at Sunset on the Dunes and she said YES!

Now we are in a long distance relationship while going through the US Visa process and would appreciate prayers for quick processing. We are looking forward to beginning our life together as husband and wife really soon.
