Our story technically starts about 22 years ago when both of us were just little things in daycare. That's where we met. Yup, in daycare. Though, if we're being honest we don't remember much about each other from way back then, however there are some memories. Like we both vividly remember Travin being our best friend and him having other friends that we didn't know very well but we hung out with them occasionally. We both also remember playing with the "helicopter" seeds that would fall from one of the trees in the daycare backyard. Taylan remembers there was this one little boy who loved the double "helicopter" seeds. He loved them so much and he would get so happy and smile really big when he would find them, so she would purposefully look for the double "helicopter" seeds just to give them to him. If you guessed that that little boy was Cameron, you'd be right.

The next phase of our story is from when Cameron was in first grade and Taylan was in kindergarten. When we were at this age Taylan had a huge crush on Cameron so, she did what any 5 year old would do when they have a crush, she tried to get him to notice her anyway she knew how. The main way Taylan tried to get Cameron to notice her was by playing with her friends to antagonize him and his friends at recess. The game we would play Taylan calls "Possum" because the girls would chase the boys and when they caught the boys the boys would lay down and play dead for a second or two and then they'd hop up and take off running again.

Jump forward a few years to where Cameron is in 8th grade and Taylan is in 7th and we're on to the next phase of our story. Once again Taylan has a huge crush on Cameron, and once again she's doing silly things trying to get him to notice her. This time it mainly consisted of her and her friends being loud and weird in places where he might pay attention to it. For example, one time her and her best friend Kourtney went into the percussion room and grabbed the old marching band uniform hats and put them on. After the hats were secured on their heads Taylan and Kourtney went into the band room, where Cameron was, and ran around for about 5 minutes trying to get Cameron to notice Taylan. He didn't :/

The next phase of our story is when Taylan is in 8th grade and Cameron is a freshman. Taylan once again has a huge crush on Cameron, though this time he has one back! Unfortunately though neither of us knew the other had said crushes and therefore this is not when our dating began...

At last we're to the part where we began dating. Now it's Taylan's senior year and Cameron is a freshman in college. We spent most of the summer before this school year hanging out and becoming really close friends and learning a lot about each other. The more we learned the more we liked each other. Finally we got our crap together and decided we should date. So on Jan. 1st 2019 at 12:02 am Cameron asked Taylan to be his girlfriend. She of course said yes.

After Taylan graduated high school she moved to Omaha to go to college, during which time Cameron was still going to school in Chadron. This was a rough phase in our story because living 8 hours away from each other and in different time zones than each other was no picnic. However thanks to good planning and technology we were able to talk or FaceTime almost daily and got through it.

The next phase in our story is when Cameron started college online so he decided to move to Omaha to be closer to Taylan. At this point we had been dating for just over a year and decided to move in together. We already knew we were going to be together forever so we thought we might as well live together.

The next phase is kind of a big chunk of time. During this time we got our first cat Momo, went to Italy, moved from our first apartment to a house, and got our dog Ziva. We also both graduated college! We both got jobs and were working full time and got our second cat Otis.

The next phase is also the phase we are currently in: our engagement! On Feb. 17th Cameron suggested that we go mini golfing at this place downtown Taylan had been to before with one of her friends. Taylan of course agreed (she's a sucker for mini golf). After mini golfing Cameron suggested that we go for a walk at Taylan's favorite park a couple of blocks away. Once we got to the park we saw that the roller rink was actually an ice rink at the moment. Taylan got very excited (she's also a sucker for ice skating) and asked if they could go ice skating, Cameron of course said yes. After an hour of having a blast ice skating Taylan decided she wanted hot coco. It just so happened that there was a coffee truck parked at the park, and they sold hot coco. After buying a cup of coco to share we continued our walk around the park. When we got to the lake Cameron stopped us to take in the scenery. It was then on Feb. 17th at 5:29 pm that Cameron asked Taylan if she would marry him. She of course said yes. And here we are :)
