We met in 2019 while working together at Old Chicago. If there’s such a thing as love at first sight, that was it. Chase had just moved up here from Arizona and asked for a ride home one day. We sat in the car and talked forever, not wanting either one to leave. It only took one more ride home for Chase to ask me to be his girlfriend. Of course I said yes, I was, and am, crazy about him! We had our first date at Silos Restaurant where we shared our life stories and started to fall in love. We wanted to see eachother every day after that and even decided to move in together after only three months! It sounds crazy but when you know, you know. Since then, we have travelled all around visiting family and vacationing, but never had a trip just to ourselves. We decided last October to visit New Orleans since we both love the Creole food and atmosphere. During our trip we booked a late night dinner and jazz cruise. While the boat was pulling away with the New Orleans skyline fading with the sun set, Chase got down on one knee and proposed. I couldn’t imagine a more romantic way to propose. We recently celebrated 6 years together at the restaurant we went to on our first date, and we can’t wait to celebrate the beginning of the rest of our lives with our family and friends this October.
