Megan:I had completely given up on finding a guy. I went to church camp one week to serve in July of 2021 and felt the Lord reminding me to not give up and that my person is out there. I absolutely hated dating apps but decided to try upward (a Christian dating app.) I downloaded it. Created the profile and made sure to set the notifications to OFF, because I didn't want to check it often and I just despised dating apps.I was scrolling one day and came across Camerons page. It said he worked with kids in a residential, he's located in Ashland and was really handsome. I decided to swipe right on him. I then turned off the app and didn't open it for 2 or 3 days. I had gotten home from work one night and decided to check upward. I got on and I got a notification saying "you have a match." Sure enough, it was Cameron and there was a message waiting for me from him. It started with "Hey! I'm pretty sure we worked together yesterday morning. I would love to get to know you." I started to think back on the day prior and was in complete shock that he worked with me. I guess I never thought that he worked at the SAME residential as I did! Especially since there are 2 in Wooster. I immediately told him that I was so oblivious and had no idea! I felt really bad about it, but hey I'm a working lady who just wanted the shift to start. We talked on the app over messaging and very quickly realized I could trust him with my number!Every time I texted him I felt at peace. We very quickly planned a time to meet in person, and we sat in Panera for 3 hours just getting to know each other. I thought he was super kind and loving and very quirky from the start. There was something special about him, but I just couldn't wrap my head around it. I felt safe with Cameron, and I barely knew who he was. Besides how much he loves the Lord which was very evident and known from the beginning, just from how he expressed himself. Come to the end of august we were officially boyfriend and girlfriend.Growing up as a kid, when I pictured my future husband, I always pictured a man who loved people so passionately, a man whose heart served the Lord. I always pictured him sitting at the table with his bible open while sipping a cup of coffee. Yes, I know this seems strange, but I wanted a man in my life who made Jesus a priority and would encourage me to do the same. Everything Cameron is was exactly the person I would imagine as a child. The moment I knew Cameron was the one was the moment I pictured him as the man I always dreamt about as a child. I always knew that the Lord would have the perfect man for me. I knew that His timing was and will always be better than I could ever imagine. I always knew that one day the Lord would give me a God-fearing man to do life and ministry with. I knew that Cameron was that person. I knew because of how at peace I felt when I was with him. I knew with how passionately he talked about the Lord. I just knew. Everyone says "when you know you know" and man did I know. On January 9, 2022, Cameron planned a double date with my best friend Esther and her husband Noah. We were going to go on a "hike!" The whole week I had a feeling that Cameron would be proposing that day because I knew he had the ring. We left my bothers birthday party early and headed to the farm for the hike. Every single time we got to a pretty clearing in the woods I thought he was going to propose. After the hike was over, I pushed that idea out of my mind and just let it be. Noah then asked if Cameron and I could help him pick out some crates they were wanting to use for the remodel of their mudroom. I again was oblivious (this is apparently a normal thing for me.) We walked into the barn and there was this weird beeping noise. Noah walks over, turns it off, and immediately twinkle lights were around a section of the barn. I looked at Esther in shock and she just nodded and waved her hands to tell me to go to Cameron. One second I'm looking at pictures from our favorite memories and the next second I hear Cameron saying "Megan Leighann Coey, will you marry me?" based on the fact that you are now on our wedding site, I'm pretty sure you know what I said! ;)Life with Cameron is so much better than life without him. I'm thankful that the Lord has given me him to live out his will from my life. I am so excited you all get to be apart of this big day too!!

Cameron:I had just graduated from college, begun my adult life in Ashland, and started my new job at the Christian Children’s Home of Ohio in Wooster. I had been single for over a year and went through lots of hardships my senior year of college. Fortunately, the Lord used that time to plant my foundation in Himself and lead me to people who kept good accountability of me. So I ended up going through a phase of major spiritual growth during my time of singleness and throughout my senior year of college.	Come July of 2021, I had been using Upward (a Christian dating app) for a little over a month. I had set a 3 month time frame for myself on the app and like Megan, I also had my notifications turned off because I did not want it to become something I was overly prioritizing. One Sunday afternoon before work (July 18, 2021 to be exact), I saw that Megan had liked my profile and I immediately knew who she was! Funny enough, I had already seen her around work and thought that she was extremely cute. I just never had a chance to approach her in person because we were always in different locations and our hours were different at the time. So I decided to take a chance and shoot her a message expressing my interest in getting to know her and her heart. It didn’t take but a few days for me to realize and understand first hand just how much she loves the Lord, her heart for worship and music, and her genuine love for kids. We share a love for the Lord (of course) and for kids, but I was very much in awe at how much she incorporated worship and music in to her walk with the Lord. This was most certainly something that made me continue to fall harder and harder for her as we continued to talk.	On July 30, 2021, I was sitting in my room doing a live stream Bible study on the book of Romans when I heard my phone buzz. I decided to check it and much to my surprise, it was a text message from Megan asking if I wanted to hang out that night! I was super excited to see this and of course I said yes! Following the conclusion of that Bible study, I went to the park to play basketball for a little bit and get those “first date” nerves out. I also decided to make dinner for both of us, and as is typical for me, I ended up making way too much food. This was both out of consideration and nervousness :) even though I was nervous throughout the time we hung out that night, I’ll never forget how peaceful and easygoing it felt. We watched Megan’s favorite movie, Tangled, and enjoyed the excessive amount of food I made. From that point on, I had a very strong feeling that she would end up being the one that I would be spending the rest of my life with. I spent a great deal of time in prayer expressing to the Lord my desire to pursue intimacy with Megan, while ultimately praying for His will to be done. It didn’t take me long to figure out that the Lord was giving me the liberty to choose here, and the right and most rewarding step of faith to take was to make our relationship official. From the start I knew how genuine and trustworthy Megan was, especially because we realized that we were both looking for the same thing - a God-honoring and lifelong commitment through marriage, the clearest picture of love that God has for His chosen people, the church. As we continued along in our journey as boyfriend and girlfriend, we knew exactly what we were looking for and persisted in prayer, praying for the Lord’s will to be done. Again, we were able to determine that the Lord had given us the liberty to choose whether or not to pursue marriage. Our love for each other had been genuine from the start and so I knew that it was the step that I wanted to take, but more importantly the step that we wanted to take together.&nbsp;	On January 9, 2022, about 7 weeks after I bought the ring, I made the decision to ask Megan to be my wife and to spend the rest of her life with me. This happened in the form of a double date, as you have likely read in Megan’s portion of our story already, so I will spare you those details :) with nerves that were out of the roof but just as much excitement to match it, the proposal flashed right before my eyes and I’m still in shock at how easily it all came together! I’m so thankful that the Lord has graciously allowed Megan to be a part of my life, who is now the biggest part of my earthly life until the day He calls us home!
