Q + A

What time should we arrive at the ceremony?

We suggest arriving around 2:30 pm to ensure you have enough time to sign our guestbook & find a seat!

Where do I park for the ceremony?

The hosts of The Castaway are very kind and are allowing our guests to park in both driveways. There will be people at the end of each driveway to help guide traffic and help our guests park. Overflow parking will be on Richardson road and we will shuttle people to the ceremony.

How can I RSVP and when should I do it by?

To RSVP, click the RSVP tab here on our website or the button on the home page, then you will type in your name to find your invitation. All invited guests will appear to mark "attending" or "declining". If we do not receive an RSVP by August 21st, they will be marked as “declining”. Any RSVP's received after this date will also marked as "declining". We will miss celebrating with you, however, we have to provide a total guest count for our vendors in a timely manner.

Can I bring a plus one?

We are keeping our wedding small and have invited people who love us, know our relationship, and have supported us along our journey. So if you are granted a plus one, you will be informed by either the bride or groom!

How does seating work?

Both the ceremony and reception will be open seating so sit where ever you please. However, we are requesting you avoid the first 2 rows on each side at the ceremony for our immediate family. For the reception, we will have reserved signs on tables for our immediate family. There is a second floor balcony that we will be utilizing to seat our guests to make sure the main floor is not over crowded.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

This will be an unplugged ceremony. We have hired an amazing photographer & videographer who will do a great job at capturing our special day and we do not want to see your phones in those photos. However, we will have a designated time when everyone will be able to take a photo. But after that designated time, we ask everyone to please silence and put away their devices to be present with us.

Is there a dress code?

We want to see all of our favorite people looking their best! We want you to be comfortable but we would prefer semi-formal. Please AVOID all shades of white!!! The ceremony and reception will take place outside so please dress accordingly and make sure to check weather conditions leading up to the event! Additionally, please keep in mind that the ceremony location will be held on grass and the driveway is gravel. You will also have to go down a hill/stairs to get down to the ceremony area.

Will there be an open bar?

We will have a menu of consisting of the grooms choice beer (Miller Lite) & brides choice cider (Ace Pineapple) that we will pay for. All of the other drinks will still be available to order at the Paddle Hard Yard, we just ask you pay for those yourself.

Can I bring a gift to the wedding?

Your presence is already more than enough, but if you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table! We also have a honeymoon fund here on our wedding website and a Amazon registry linked here on the website and on our Facebook event page.

What is the best way to contact you with any additional questions?

We both are on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat so you can message on any of those platforms! Or if you have our numbers, calls or texts are always welcome & we will get back to you as soon as we can if we are not able to respond right away.
