Our story began during our freshman year of college at the University of Portland at a dorm party of all places. What started as a chance conversation about a snarky hat Cameron was wearing (IYKYK) quickly turned into something much more. Not long after we had our first date at Mississippi Pizza Pub, and before we knew it, we were falling in love, enjoying college life together. Sara was in nursing school, Cameron studied finance, and from the beginning, we were each other's best friends, just growing up together.

We’ve shared countless adventures over the years, exploring each other’s hometowns of Bellingham, WA & Los Gatos, CA. Many trips in and around the Pacific Northwest (Cannon Beach, Mt. Hood, Bend, Lake Crescent, South Sister, many tropical trips as well). We have also loved spending holidays with each of our families and building our own traditions with each other that now feel like home.

Like most, our story isn’t perfect by any means. During our senior year of college, we took a break, though we never stopped being each other’s best friends. That time apart was a necessary part of our relationship, and only made us surer of our lives together after. Choosing each other a second time only made us stronger.

For the next 3+ years, we lived together in Portland’s Pearl District, soaking up city life in our early 20’s, building our careers, adopting our cat Nova, creating a cozy home to host friends and family, supporting each other through challenging times and working on becoming the next Top Chef (specializing in spicy Mexican food and gluten-free recipes).

In the summer of 2024, we took the trip of a lifetime across Italy. One unforgettable evening, at sunset in Positano, Cameron proposed. Since becoming engaged, we bought our first home together in a beautiful Portland neighborhood where we immediately envisioned our life together.

This past year we have been navigating home ownership, wedding planning, traveling and filling our time with memories made with our family and friends. Life is very full in the best way.
